Apollo 66 Joins Music Lineup for Street Fest 2024!

Friends of Montgomery Hills is excited to welcome garage punk rock act Apollo 66 to the Street Fest 2024 stage for the first time this year! Apollo 66 will be blowing the doors off the Fest as its opening act during the 3:15-4:00 PM timeslot!

Formed in 2016 and based in the Washington DC, area, Apollo 66 plays garage punk rock ‘n’ roll to help you forget about the coming apocalypse, and stomp your feet, clap your hands, and shout “Wooo!” Their music fits somewhere in the space-time-continuum of the Sonics, the Cramps, Misfits, Dick Dale and Link Wray with an occasional touch of Beatles-inspired harmonies.

Hollertown Joins Music Lineup for Street Fest 2024!

Friends of Montgomery Hills is thrilled to introduce Hollertown to Street Fest 2024. This bluegrass band, active since 2005, will perform from 6:15-7:00 PM. With regular gigs at various venues, normally a six-member lineup, for the Fest it will include Tom Lalley, Lee Benaka, and Chuck Andreatta. Don’t miss their captivating performance at the festival!

The Red Castle Blues Band Returns to the Street Fest Music Lineup for 2024!

Friends of Montgomery Hills is thrilled to have the Red Castle Blues Band back at Street Fest. The band, established for the 2011 Smithsonian Folklife Festival Staff Picnic, has been performing in the DMV area, drawing inspiration from 60s and 70s rock. Denizens Brewing Company Joins 2024 Street Fest!

Denizens Brewing Company, the exclusive beer vendor for the 2024 Street Fest, has been an integral part of the community since its inception in 2012. As the first production brewery in Montgomery County, they have seen significant growth, expanded their outreach, and cultivated a strong local presence while maintaining a focus on quality and innovation in their offerings.

Commas Food Hall and Ellsworth Place Joins 2024 Street Fest as its Premium Sponsor!

Friends of Montgomery Hills welcomes Commas Food Hall and Ellsworth Place as the 2024 Street Fest Premium Sponsor. The food hall, set to open in downtown Silver Spring, will feature six vendors at the festival. With 12 dining stalls offering global flavors, it promises a unique culinary experience reflective of the community. Opening this Fall!

Street Fest is Back – Sept. 28, 2024!

The Montgomery Hills Street Fest will return on September 28, 2024, aiming to connect residents with local businesses and organizations, and gather support for planned improvements to the Georgia Avenue corridor. Around 1000 attendees are expected. Artisans and businesses can participate as vendors, while volunteers and sponsors are also sought.
